Paul Sandgrouse (Pablo Ortega) was born in El Escambray, Cuba, in 1962. Graduated as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Thermoenergetics from CUJAE, Havana, Cuba, in 1987. He emigrated to the United States of America in 2005 and settled in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada, where he studied six levels of ESL in Grammar and Composition. He is certified and works as an Industrial Mechanic, Electrician, and HVAC Technician. In his pre-university student days, he wrote short stories that were published in the literary workshop in Sandino, the small town where he lived in Cuba.
